Liverpool’s Predicted Lineup Against Wolves: Expected XI For Premier League Match

Liverpool manager Arne Slot faces a pleasing dilemma in attack as he prepares for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux.

Following a 5-1 victory over West Ham United in the EFL Cup, where Diogo Jota scored twice after being rested for last weekend’s Premier League win over Bournemouth, Slot has several options. Darwin Nunez, who played the full 90 minutes and provided an assist against West Ham, also netted Liverpool’s third goal in their win over Bournemouth.

Given that Jota was substituted just before the hour mark in the West Ham match while Nunez completed the game, Jota may get the start due to his fresher legs.

Jota is expected to lead a potent attacking line-up alongside Dominik Szoboszlai, Mohamed Salah, and Luis Diaz, who has been directly involved in six goals in his last four Premier League games.

In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister and the revitalized Ryan Gravenberch are set for returns, as are Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate in central defense. They might again shield Caoimhin Kelleher if Alisson Becker’s hamstring issue does not resolve in time.

With Andrew Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold—both tied on 59 Premier League assists and the latter achieving 100 goal contributions for Liverpool—expected to start, Kostas Tsimikas and Conor Bradley will likely be sidelined.

Liverpool possible starting lineup:
Kelleher; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Mac Allister, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Jota.
