Brighton & Hove Albion Reportedly Eyeing Leicester City Midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly keen on signing Leicester City midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall. The Seagulls made an attempt to acquire the talented Foxes youngster in January during a heated race for automatic promotion from the Championship under Enzo Maresca’s management.
Leicester eventually secured the Championship title and immediate promotion back to the Premier League, with Dewsbury-Hall playing a pivotal role in midfield at the King Power Stadium.
The 25-year-old featured prominently in 44 Championship matches, starting 41 of them, and impressively contributed 12 goals along with 14 assists for his teammates.
Recognizing his substantial impact during the 2023-24 season, Dewsbury-Hall earned a place in the Championship Team of the Season and was honored with Leicester’s Player of the Season award.
Despite Leicester’s return to Premier League football, talkSPORT suggests that a long-time admirer of Dewsbury-Hall remains interested in securing his services this summer.
Brighton is reportedly deliberating on a potential summer move for the former Luton Town loanee, whose contract with Leicester runs until 2027.
Following the departure of Roberto De Zebri, Brighton will begin the 2024-25 campaign under new manager Fabian Hurzeler, who recently guided St Pauli to promotion to the Bundesliga.
Nottingham Forest Considering Michail Antonio Return
Michail Antonio, currently with West Ham United, may be making a dramatic return to Nottingham Forest this summer, switching Premier League allegiances.
The 34-year-old departed the City Ground after just one season to join West Ham in September 2015 and has since made 308 appearances for the Hammers, scoring 82 goals.
Antonio’s goal production dropped in the 2023-24 season compared to previous years, with the former Reading forward scoring seven goals in 32 matches across all competitions.
According to The Sun, the Jamaica international is expected to move during the summer transfer window after a less productive spell in front of goal. The report suggests that he is now surplus to requirements at the London Stadium, where new head coach Julen Lopetegui is planning a significant squad overhaul.
Forest is reportedly preparing to bring Antonio back to the City Ground after nine years away, but faces competition for the striker’s signature. Fulham, keen on the 16-time international, may offer him a switch across the capital.
Interest in Antonio also reportedly comes from MLS clubs and Bundesliga contenders RB Leipzig. However, the attacker currently prefers a move that keeps him in the Premier League, where he has established himself.

Amid ongoing speculation about Antonio’s next move, West Ham defender Ben Johnson’s future appears close to being resolved, with reports indicating that the academy graduate is nearing a transfer to newly-promoted Ipswich Town.
Since his debut for the Hammers in 2017, Johnson has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter in the team’s defensive lineup.
During the 2023-24 Premier League season, the 24-year-old made only four starts, accumulating 538 minutes of playing time under manager David Moyes, primarily serving as backup to Czech Republic international Vladimir Coufal.
After four seasons as a peripheral figure at the London Stadium, Johnson is reportedly on the brink of joining Ipswich Town, as per Football Insider.
The Tractor Boys are said to be in advanced negotiations for the signing of the right-back, who has reportedly turned down multiple contract extension offers from West Ham.
Despite interest from Rangers and Leeds United, Johnson is determined to remain with a Premier League club.
