Transfer Rumours: Joao Palhinha To Bayern Munich, Jake O’Brien To Everton, Emiliano Marcondes To Norwich City

Bayern Munich have reportedly rekindled their interest in Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha. The Bundesliga giants nearly signed the Portugal international last summer, but the move to Allianz Arena fell through at the last moment.

Palhinha remained a key player for Fulham during the 2023-24 season, making 39 appearances across all competitions. He is currently with the Portugal squad preparing for Euro 2024.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Bayern are confident of securing Palhinha’s signature this summer. Plettenberg claims that a verbal agreement on personal terms is already in place, with a contract extending until June 2028. Fulham are expected to accept an offer between €40m (£34m) and €45m (£38m).

Meanwhile, according to the Irish Independent, Everton are considering a move for Lyon defender Jake O’Brien during this summer’s transfer window.

The 23-year-old, who came through the youth system at Cork City, moved to Crystal Palace in 2021 but did not make a first-team appearance for the Eagles before transferring to Lyon in August 2023.

O’Brien made 32 appearances for the French club last season, scoring five times, and has attracted interest from several clubs.

Everton are reportedly weighing up a move for the defender, but Borussia Dortmund are also interested in a deal this summer.

AC Milan is another club monitoring the situation, with Lyon facing a significant challenge in retaining the center-back.

Elsewhere, Norwich City are reportedly interested in signing Bournemouth attacker Emiliano Marcondes on a free transfer at the end of the month.

The 29-year-old’s contract with the Cherries expires on June 30, and he is set to leave the Vitality Stadium in search of new opportunities.

According to Football Insider, Norwich are keen to sign Marcondes, but they will face competition from several other Championship clubs.

The Danish player spent the second half of last season on loan at Hibernian, scoring three goals in 17 appearances for the Scottish side.

Since joining Bournemouth from Brentford in 2021, he has made 24 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.

There is also believed to be significant interest in Marcondes from Danish clubs this summer.
