Manchester United Has Officially Extended A Contract Offer To The Attacker – An Update On Their Future.

Manchester United has officially announced that Omari Forson has received a new contract amidst ongoing speculation surrounding the attacker’s future.

The 19-year-old showcased his talent in seven first-team appearances for the Red Devils during the 2023-24 season, including four appearances in the Premier League, where he notably provided an assist against Wolverhampton Wanderers on his league debut.

Forson’s current contract at Old Trafford is set to expire at the end of June, leading to recent reports suggesting that the teenager was considering a departure from the 20-time English champions this summer.

However, Manchester United has confirmed that they have extended a new contract offer to the England Under-20s international.

A statement on the club’s official website reads, “Omari Forson has formally been offered a new deal,” with discussions also underway for new contracts with fellow first-team players Jonny Evans and Tom Heaton.

Man United extends a new contract offer to Forson.

Forson, hailing from London, honed his skills at West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur during his formative years before joining Man United in January 2019.

In the previous season, the attacker showcased his prowess by scoring three goals and providing three assists for Man United’s Under-23s in the Premier League 2. Additionally, he netted twice in two appearances in the EFL trophy.

While Forson participated in three FA Cup matches, he was absent from the squad for the final against Manchester City on May 25.

Man United now awaits Forson’s decision. However, they have already confirmed the departures of Anthony Martial and Raphael Varane, with Brandon Williams set to leave the Red Devils when his contract expires at the end of June.

“United’s academy product, Brandon Williams, will depart the club upon the conclusion of his contract. The full-back, who joined United at the tender age of nine and proudly accumulated 51 first-team appearances, will always be welcomed back through the Alumni program,” stated the club’s official website.

Williams spent the previous season on loan at Championship side Ipswich Town, featuring in 17 matches across all competitions, although he did not see action in the latter half of the campaign.

Additionally, Charlie McNeill, Marcus Lawrence, and Kie Plumley will also be leaving, while Under-21s player-coach Tom Huddlestone did not receive a contract extension offer.

However, the club indicated that discussions are ongoing regarding a potential new contract for 20-year-old Shola Shoretire, leaving the possibility open for a fresh deal. Shoretire has amassed five first-team appearances for the 20-time English champions and spent the latter half of the 2022-23 campaign on loan at Bolton Wanderers.
