France manager Didier Deschamps will be without any of his three Real Madrid players for Wednesday’s international friendly against Luxembourg at the Stade Saint-Symphorien.

Ferland Mendy and Eduardo Camavinga, who both started in Los Blancos’ 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League final, are expected to be given additional time to recover.

Meanwhile, Aurelien Tchouameni, who missed the Wembley victory due to a foot injury, initially cast doubt on his Euro 2024 participation, but he has since confirmed his availability for the Championships.

However, Tchouameni is ruled out for this match and might also miss France’s second friendly of the month against Canada, potentially paving the way for N’Golo Kante to start on Wednesday.

Adrien Rabiot and Warren Zaire-Emery, both of whom have been called up for the 2024 Olympics, are likely to start in midfield. They will be positioned behind Antoine Griezmann, who returns to action after his injury ended his record-breaking streak of 84 successive France matches in March.

Ousmane Dembele, Olivier Giroud, and Kylian Mbappe, who recently joined Real Madrid, are expected to form the attacking trio alongside Griezmann, although Marcus Thuram could challenge for a starting spot.

Despite Mendy and left-back Lucas Hernandez’s absences due to an ACL injury, Deschamps still has plenty of defensive options. Theo Hernandez is expected to fill in at left-back, while Jules Kounde is likely to start on the right flank. Benjamin Pavard and Dayot Upamecano could feature in the central defense, ahead of William Saliba and Ibrahima Konate, to protect goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

Projected France starting lineup: Maignan; Kounde, Pavard, Upamecano, T. Hernandez; Zaire-Emery, Rabiot; Dembele, Griezmann, Mbappe; Giroud
