Transfer Rumours: Conor Gallagher To Aston Villa, Stuart Armstrong To Fulham, Pascal Gross To Eintracht Frankfurt

Aston Villa have reportedly entered the competition for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. The Englishman’s future is currently under intense speculation, with Chelsea reportedly considering a sale during the upcoming summer transfer window for financial reasons.

While Tottenham Hotspur remains linked with the 24-year-old, The Independent suggests that Villa is also firmly in contention for his services in the summer market.

The report indicates that Villa’s head coach, Unai Emery, holds Gallagher in high regard. Gallagher was among Chelsea’s most productive players during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in 50 appearances for the Blues.

Despite his significant contributions, Gallagher’s contract is set to expire next summer. Villa’s fourth-place finish in the 2023-24 Premier League season has secured them Champions League football for the upcoming term.

Meanwhile, Fulham are reportedly considering a move for Scotland international Stuart Armstrong on a free transfer this summer, according to the Daily Record.

The 32-year-old midfielder’s contract with Southampton is set to expire at the end of June, leading to significant speculation about his future.

Armstrong has been linked with several clubs, including Fiorentina, but Fulham are also keen on bringing him back to the Premier League.

The midfielder played a crucial role in Southampton’s promotion from the Championship in the 2023-24 season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists in 42 appearances.

Since joining from Celtic in June 2018, Armstrong has made 214 appearances for the Saints, scoring 25 goals and registering 19 assists.

Elsewhere, Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt are reportedly keen to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Pascal Gross during this summer’s transfer window.

The 32-year-old, currently with the Germany squad preparing for Euro 2024, had an impressive 2023-24 season, scoring five goals and providing 13 assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.

Gross’s contract at the Amex Stadium expires next summer, fueling speculation about a potential move.

According to journalist Florian Plettenberg, Frankfurt have identified Gross as their primary midfield target and are determined to secure a deal this summer.

However, Gross is currently focused on the upcoming European Championship.

Since joining Brighton from FC Ingolstadt 04 in the summer of 2017, Gross has scored 32 goals and registered 52 assists in 161 appearances for the club.
