Fulham Make Bid For 25-Year-Old Bundesliga Winger

Fulham have reportedly submitted an €8m (£6.8m) bid for Stuttgart winger Silas. The 25-year-old finished the Bundesliga season on a high note, coming off the bench to score in two of Stuttgart’s final three matches.

These crucial goals helped Stuttgart leapfrog Bayern Munich to secure a second-place finish, their best since winning the title in 2006-07.

Despite this strong finish, Silas may view the season with some frustration, having spent much of it on the bench. He made only eight starts in 27 league appearances, with manager Sebastian Hoeness often favoring Jamie Leweling and Chris Fuhrich.

Fulham makes another bid for Silas The winger stayed at the MHP Arena for the latter part of the season following Fulham’s reported unsuccessful bid in the winter transfer window.

However, this setback hasn’t discouraged the Premier League club, who still seem eager to secure the services of the DR Congo international.

According to Caught Offside, Fulham has reignited their interest with an €8m (£6.8m) offer for Silas ahead of the 2024-25 season.

The report suggests that Fulham might need to increase their bid, as Stuttgart is reportedly seeking a fee around €16m (£13.6m).

Stuttgart is believed to be open to selling Silas and has already begun scouting for a potential replacement.

Fulham aims to bolster key areas Following a 13th-place finish, Marco Silva is intent on enhancing his squad during the summer.

The club appears eager to reinforce their attacking options, particularly with uncertainties surrounding the future of veteran winger Willian.

Willian, whose contract expires at the end of June, reportedly has offers to join the Saudi Pro League, although Fulham desires to keep him. Whether he agrees to a new one-year deal remains uncertain.

In addition to fortifying their wide positions, Fulham must secure a new defender to replace departing center-back Tosin Adarabioyo.

The former Manchester City player is expected to join Newcastle United once his Fulham contract expires at the end of June.
