The representative of Barcelona’s forward Robert Lewandowski has emphasized that the Poland international will stay at Camp Nou this summer, dismissing the speculation about his future as “fake news”. Lewandowski, aged 35, has maintained impressive form for the Catalan club throughout the 2023-24 season, tallying 24 goals and nine assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

Despite recent claims suggesting a potential departure, the seasoned forward is under contract with Barcelona until June 2026, with the possibility of extending for another 12 months. While Barcelona manager Xavi refrained from definitively ruling out Lewandowski’s departure when questioned earlier this month, stating that a decision would be made “at the end of the season”, rumors persist that the striker may leave. Allegedly, Lewandowski is not considered indispensable within the Barcelona squad, with the club reportedly willing to entertain offers for his transfer if deemed suitable this summer.

Zahavi, Lewandowski’s agent, has adamantly affirmed that his client will remain at Camp Nou beyond the conclusion of this summer’s transfer window.

Describing the rumors as baseless, Zahavi asserted to Meczykipl, “It’s nonsense, fake news. Lewandowski is 100% staying at Barca next season.”

Having joined Barcelona from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, Lewandowski has made 91 appearances for the Catalan club, scoring 57 goals and providing 17 assists.

While there is reportedly interest from Saudi Arabia in the forward, with Barcelona purportedly eyeing Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez as a potential replacement, Zahavi has categorically stated that his client will not be sold in the upcoming transfer market.

Which players might depart from Barcelona this summer is once again a subject of speculation. Manchester United is reportedly gearing up to renew their interest in Dutch international Frenkie de Jong. Ronald Araujo is also consistently associated with a potential exit, as Barcelona faces pressure to offload some first-team players due to financial constraints.

Raphinha, if made available by Barcelona, is expected to attract significant interest from other clubs, given his talent and abilities. Reports suggest that only five players—Pau Cubarsi, Lamine Yamal, Gavi, Pedri, and Mikayil Faye—are considered not for sale under any circumstances within the Barcelona squad.

Additionally, Jules Kounde and Ferran Torres are being linked with potential departures, while decisions regarding the futures of loaned players Joao Cancelo and Joao Felix need to be addressed.
