Here’s A Potential Lineup For Liverpool In Their Upcoming Match Against West Ham United:

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is anticipating the return of Cody Gakpo to his matchday squad for Saturday’s Premier League encounter against West Ham United at the London Stadium.

Gakpo was conspicuously absent from the Reds’ squad during their 2-0 loss to Merseyside rivals Everton on Wednesday night. Klopp clarified after the match that the Dutch forward was unavailable due to his partner expecting to give birth.

While it remains uncertain whether Gakpo will be available for selection on Saturday, Klopp will have to manage without five other players who are sidelined due to various injuries. Diogo Jota is nursing a hip injury, Conor Bradley has a foot problem, Thiago Alcantara is recovering from a muscle issue, while Joel Matip and Ben Doak are both dealing with knee injuries.

Considering potential changes to the starting lineup, Klopp may contemplate replacing center-back Ibrahima Konate with either Jarell Quansah or Joe Gomez, following Konate’s disappointing performance against Everton. Additionally, Andrew Robertson’s left-back position could be challenged by Kostas Tsimikas.

In midfield, Dominik Szoboszlai and Curtis Jones, who were substituted just after the hour mark in the midweek game, face competition from Harvey Elliott, Ryan Gravenberch, and Wataru Endo for retaining their spots alongside Alexis Mac Allister.

Despite recent struggles in form, Mohamed Salah and Darwin Nunez are expected to lead the attacking trio, supported by Luis Diaz, in a three-man frontline against West Ham. The duo previously scored in a 3-1 victory over West Ham in the reverse fixture at Anfield.

Potential Liverpool Starting Lineup: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Quansah/Gomez, Van Dijk, Robertson; Szoboszlai, Endo, Mac Allister; Salah, Nunez, Diaz.
