Five Players From Bayern Munich Have Resumed Training In Preparation For The First Leg Against Arsenal.

Bayern Munich has received a significant boost with five players returning from injury ahead of their Champions League quarter-final first leg against Arsenal on Tuesday night.

However, with Bayern conceding their Bundesliga crown to Leverkusen this season while Arsenal leads the Premier League standings, optimism is high among Arsenal fans that Mikel Arteta’s team could seek revenge this month.

Such a victory could potentially set up an exciting semi-final clash with either Manchester City or Real Madrid.

Leroy Sane, Manuel Neuer, and others return to training

Confidence among Arsenal fans only grew stronger following Bayern’s surprising 3-2 loss to Heidenheim over the weekend, during which head coach Thomas Tuchel had to manage without as many as nine players due to injuries.

Notably, Manuel Neuer, Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, Aleksandar Pavlovic, and Noussair Mazraoui were absent from the match, leading Tuchel to acknowledge doubts about their availability for the upcoming trip to London.

However, all five players were back in training with the German champions on Monday morning, and they are expected to travel to the Emirates Stadium for Tuesday’s clash with Arsenal.

Each of these players could be considered for a starting position at the Emirates. Neuer may replace Sven Ulreich in goal if he recovers from his adductor issue in time. Meanwhile, Sane and Coman offer alternatives on the wings, potentially challenging Thomas Muller, who recently marked his 700th appearance for Bayern. Additionally, there’s anticipation that one former Arsenal player will feature prominently against his old club.

Former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur trio set to return to North London.

Serge Gnabry spent five years at Arsenal between 2011 and 2016, but he only managed to score one goal in 18 matches for the Gunners before returning to prominence in his native country.

Despite enduring a challenging season with injuries, the 28-year-old has regained fitness and form in Bayern’s attack, issuing a stern warning to his former club ahead of their upcoming match.

“It’s a crucial game – that’s where we usually excel. Advancing to the Champions League semi-finals would be a significant achievement for us. It’s our primary goal,” Gnabry told reporters.

“I’m eagerly anticipating [facing Arsenal]. I had a feeling it would happen when the draw was made. I’m thrilled to be returning there after almost eight years.”

In addition to Gnabry, Tottenham Hotspur’s leading goal scorer, Harry Kane, who spent a year in Arsenal’s academy from 2001 to 2002, is expected to start on his return to North London. However, Eric Dier is likely to begin the match on the bench.
