Florentino Perez Has Expressed A Desire To Recruit Alejandro Garnacho For Real Madrid
Reportedly, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is aiming to secure the signing of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho in the future. Garnacho previously spent time in Madrid, representing Atletico Madrid over a five-year period from 2015 to 2020 during his youth career.
However, since then, the 19-year-old has exclusively played for Manchester United, where he has become an integral player. Garnacho has contributed 12 goals and nine assists in 74 appearances across all competitions, including five goals and three assists in the current Premier League season.
Whether Erik ten Hag remains in charge or not, there is a perception that Garnacho is seen as a long-term asset for Manchester United.
Part of the reason for this perception is that Garnacho signed a contract extension just last April, committing to Manchester United until the conclusion of the 2027-28 season.
Despite this, Garnacho’s progression suggests that he will inevitably attract interest from other elite European clubs in the future.
Real Madrid Exclusivo reports that Perez intends for Real Madrid to be that destination once Garnacho reaches his twenties. The report suggests that Perez and other Real Madrid officials have been closely monitoring Garnacho’s performances, with the intention of pursuing his signature in an upcoming transfer window.
