Arsenal, Liverpool, And Manchester City Are Reportedly Vying For The Opportunity To Aacquire Joshua Kimmich
Reportedly, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City are all vying for the chance to secure the signature of Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich. The 29-year-old has predominantly represented Bayern since his move from Stuttgart in the summer of 2015.
Throughout his nine-year tenure in Bavaria, Kimmich has achieved considerable success, contributing to the club’s triumphs in eight Bundesliga titles, three DFB-Pokal trophies, six German Super Cups, as well as securing victories in the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
Maintaining his pivotal role in the Bayern squad this season, the Germany international has appeared in 31 matches across various competitions. Despite being a regular starter, uncertainties loom over Kimmich’s future at the Allianz Arena, primarily due to his contractual situation.
Kimmich’s existing contract extends until June 2025, and negotiations for a new deal with the reigning German champions have yet to reach a resolution.
Recently, Bayern board member Max Eberl acknowledged that the player’s future could hinge on the incoming manager, as Thomas Tuchel is slated to depart from his role as head coach at the season’s end.
Kimmich is reportedly receptive to exploring new opportunities and has garnered interest from several prominent European clubs.
Journalist Florian Plettenburg suggests that Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City are among the five clubs Kimmich is considering for a potential move in the upcoming transfer window.
Real Madrid and Barcelona are also being touted as plausible destinations for Kimmich, with indications of contact between the player and representatives from these clubs.
Nevertheless, it’s reported that the German has ruled out the possibility of transferring to Manchester United, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the latest update, Bayern Munich is open to entertaining offers, given that Kimmich is approaching the final year of his contract this summer.
Furthermore, there have been no definitive talks between Bayern and Kimmich regarding the extension of his tenure at the Allianz Arena.
Currently, the versatile player is with the Germany squad, gearing up for upcoming friendlies against France and the Netherlands.
