Potential Arsenal Lineup Against Porto

Arsenal have received concerning injury news regarding Gabriel Martinelli ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League last-16 second leg clash with Porto at the Emirates, where they aim to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit.

The Brazilian winger missed the 2-1 Premier League victory over Brentford on Saturday due to a deep cut on his right foot sustained against Sheffield United on March 4. Initially hopeful of Martinelli’s availability against Brentford, Mikel Arteta’s optimism waned when the player was spotted on crutches after the match.

Fans await updates on Martinelli and Takehiro Tomiyasu, who is still sidelined due to a knock, while Jurrien Timber’s ACL injury rules him out.

However, there is some positive news as Oleksandr Zinchenko returned from a calf concern and could replace Jakub Kiwior at left-back. The defensive line-up is completed by Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, and William Saliba ahead of David Raya.

In midfield, Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice are expected to start, with Jorginho likely to retain his place after an impressive display against Brentford.

Leading the attack, Kai Havertz is set to continue his fine form, with support from Bukayo Saka. Arteta might opt for Gabriel Jesus over Leandro Trossard if Martinelli remains unavailable.

Potential Arsenal starting lineup: Raya; White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Havertz, Jesus
