PSV Eindhoven Extends Their Unbeaten Streak In The Eredivisie With A Draw Against Feyenoord, Featuring Four Goals.
PSV Eindhoven, the current leaders of the Eredivisie, maintained their undefeated status in the 2023-24 Dutch top-flight season with a 2-2 draw against Feyenoord in a highly anticipated match at the Philips Stadion on Sunday.
The first half saw goals from Malik Tillman and Yankuba Minteh, as both teams matched each other’s efforts. Despite Santiago Gimenez briefly giving the champions the lead, a well-executed equalizer from Guus Til ensured that Peter Bosz’s side remained 10 points ahead at the top of the league, staying on track for an unbeaten season.
PSV exerted dominance early in the game, with Tillman finding the net in the fourth minute after exploiting a gap in the Feyenoord defense. However, Feyenoord responded swiftly, capitalizing on a defensive mistake by PSV to equalize through Minteh in the 22nd minute.
The match remained intense, with Feyenoord pushing forward and forcing PSV goalkeeper Walter Benitez into action multiple times. Despite Gimenez giving Feyenoord the lead in the second half, PSV quickly responded through a sublime volley from substitute Til, ensuring the match ended in a draw.
The result maintains PSV’s strong position in the league as they prepare for upcoming fixtures against Go Ahead Eagles and Borussia Dortmund. Meanwhile, Feyenoord aims to bounce back in their next match against Heracles after becoming the first team to secure a draw against PSV at home in the 2023-24 Eredivisie season.
