Real Madrid Is Set To Secure The Signing Of Ethan Mbappe As Part Of The Deal Involving Kylian Mbappe
Real Madrid has reportedly reached an agreement to acquire Paris Saint-Germain’s Ethan Mbappe as part of the deal that will see his older brother Kylian Mbappe transfer to the Spanish capital.
After several unsuccessful attempts to lure Kylian Mbappe away from the Parc des Princes in the past, Real Madrid is said to have finally reached a deal with the 25-year-old.
Following his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain as a free agent at the end of the season, the French World Cup winner is reported to have agreed to a significant salary reduction in order to sign a five-year contract with Carlo Ancelotti’s team.
While neither PSG nor Real Madrid has officially commented on the matter, Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique hinted at Mbappe’s impending departure by substituting him midway through the second half of their 1-1 draw with Rennes last weekend, stating that his team must adapt to playing without the forward.
In recent months, Ethan Mbappe has frequently been included in PSG’s matchday squads alongside his brother, and according to reports from OKDIARIO, the 17-year-old will join his sibling in making the move to the Bernabeu.
Similar to his brother, the young midfielder’s contract is also expiring at the end of June, leading to his imminent move to Real Madrid on a free transfer, following a request from his family.
Reportedly, the Mbappe camp requested Ethan Mbappe’s inclusion at the club after Kylian Mbappe had already finalized his pre-contract agreement. Real Madrid agreed to the request after careful consideration.
Born in 2006, the emerging talent is anticipated to start with Real Madrid’s Castilla team before progressing to senior football. He is also expected to train with Carlo Ancelotti’s first team.
Ethan Mbappe’s upcoming transfer to Real Madrid marks the conclusion of his seven-year tenure with PSG, where he joined alongside his brother in 2017 after playing for AS Bondy.
He made his debut for PSG’s first team in a 3-1 Ligue 1 triumph over Metz in December. Since then, he has also appeared as a substitute in Coupe de France victories against Revel and Orleans.
Earlier this month, Ethan Mbappe had his first taste of the Champions League matchday atmosphere, being named on the bench for PSG’s 2-0 victory over Real Sociedad in the first leg of their last-16 encounter.
In addition to his limited senior appearances, the young midfielder has earned a reputation as a prolific player at the youth level. He contributed five goals and four assists in 16 matches during the Under-19 Championnat National campaign.
Ethan Mbappe also featured for the full 90 minutes in all six of PSG’s UEFA Youth League group-stage matches earlier this season, despite the team finishing last in their continental group.
Reportedly, PSG had been attempting to secure a new contract with the talented midfielder born in 2006. However, negotiations to extend his stay with the club have now ceased due to Real Madrid’s intervention.
