How Real Madrid Could Line Up Against Sevilla
Real Madrid will be without seven first-team players for their La Liga encounter with Sevilla on Sunday, although there is optimism surrounding the potential return of Antonio Rudiger to the lineup.
Rudiger has been sidelined since sustaining a thigh injury at the beginning of the month, causing him to miss the team’s last four matches across all competitions. However, the German international could mark his comeback to the starting XI against Sevilla, although Real Madrid will still be depleted in key positions for the match in the capital.
Adding to the injury concerns, Joselu has been added to the casualty list due to an ankle problem, ruling him out for the upcoming weekend alongside Jude Bellingham, David Alaba, Eder Militao, and Thibaut Courtois.
Furthermore, Dani Carvajal and Eduardo Camavinga will be absent from the squad due to suspensions, further limiting Real Madrid’s options on Sunday night.
In light of these absences, Luka Modric is poised to retain his role in midfield, while Rodrygo and Toni Kroos are set to return to the starting lineup after featuring on the bench in the previous match against Rayo Vallecano.
Brahim Diaz is anticipated to operate behind a striking duo of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, with Ferland Mendy making a comeback at left-back following his suspension, which led to his absence in the 1-1 draw with Rayo.
