Fulham’s vice-chairman, Tony Khan, has stated that the club would entertain offers for midfielder Joao Palhinha if they “make sense.” The Portuguese international was close to joining Bayern Munich on the last day of the previous summer transfer window. Despite the failed move, Palhinha extended his contract with Fulham until 2028, with an option for an additional year. However, ongoing speculation suggests a potential departure from Craven Cottage.

Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea have all reportedly shown interest in Palhinha, and there is a chance that Bayern Munich could reignite their pursuit. Amidst the uncertainty surrounding Palhinha’s future, Khan has acknowledged that he will entertain reasonable offers, despite his desire to keep the midfielder at the club. Khan expressed his admiration for Palhinha, describing him as a phenomenal player who has demonstrated his talent in the Premier League. He emphasized Palhinha’s importance to Fulham’s core and expressed the club’s happiness in extending his contract.

“If there’s an offer that aligns with everyone’s interests, it’s something you have to consider for any player at the appropriate time. We were keen to retain him, and we have succeeded in doing so. Palhinha remains with us, and there is significant interest in him. He has been a fantastic addition to our squad.”

Palhinha continues to be a key player under Marco Silva, featuring in 21 of the team’s 22 Premier League matches this season.

However, he will be sidelined for the next two matches against Manchester United and Brighton & Hove Albion due to suspension, having received his 10th yellow card of the Premier League season in Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Aston Villa.
