Arsenal Have Reportedly Initiated Discussions With The Representatives Of Adrien Rabiot

Reportedly, Arsenal have engaged in “initial talks” with Adrien Rabiot’s agents, aiming to secure a deal for the Juventus midfielder promptly. Rabiot’s current contract with Juventus is set to expire at the end of June, sparking ongoing speculation about his future in Turin.

Several Premier League clubs are reportedly interested in Rabiot, including Manchester United and Newcastle United, who are rumored to be eager to secure his signature on a free transfer this summer. Arsenal, who have been linked with Rabiot for some time, are also in the mix. According to HITC, the Gunners have held discussions with Rabiot’s representatives regarding a potential move to the Emirates Stadium.

Despite interest from other clubs, Juventus is reportedly determined to retain Rabiot and remains confident that he will extend his contract with the Italian club.

The 28-year-old commenced his professional journey with Paris Saint-Germain, featuring for the French club’s first team 227 times before departing for Juventus on a free transfer.

Since then, Rabiot has amassed 199 appearances for the Old Lady, contributing 21 goals and 15 assists, but his tenure with the Italian side may be drawing to a close.

Despite ongoing speculations, the midfielder has remained a pivotal figure for Juventus this season, featuring in 22 matches across all competitions, scoring four goals, and providing three assists.

In a testament to his leadership, Rabiot has even captained Juventus this season, and he recently found the back of the net in their latest Serie A outing, a 2-2 draw against Hellas Verona on February 17th.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly an admirer of Adrien Rabiot, expressing a desire to bring the Juventus midfielder to the Emirates Stadium for the upcoming 2024-25 season. Arteta is particularly keen on securing a player who can complement Declan Rice in the midfield, and Rabiot’s physical attributes make him an appealing prospect for the demands of the Premier League.

As of last December, Rabiot’s primary preference was to extend his stay at Juventus, contingent on reaching an agreement on personal terms. Similar speculations surrounded the French midfielder’s future around the same period last year, but he eventually committed to a new one-year contract with the Serie A club.
